Still Grindin’ Recap
Big thanks to everyone who came through on Saturday for the second installment of our annual Grindin’ block party. Hot dogs and slushees were on the menu, with the homies Jetts and Surgery holding it down on the 1′s and 2′s all day long. The ramp was well-shredded, the deals were had, and graffiti was in full effect thanks to Montana Cans with six live canvases going to auction for the Make a Wish Foundation.
Brixton Fall 2011

Nike Lavadunk Hi Vintage
One of the first colourways since its limited introduction last Winter, Nike’s Lavadunk is now available at Complex Victoria in Sail/Victory Green. Sporting a Vintage-treated sole, speed lace holes, and suede paneling, these quickstrikes are a true hybrid of equal parts ACG and Nike Sportswear. Happy Socks x Bearbrick
Now available at both shops, Sweden’s Happy Socks and Japan’s Medicom Toys have teamed up for their first Bearbrick. Including both the socks and the 4″ collectible toy, the capsule was inspired in equal parts by the colours and tastes of Summer. Limited quantities!
Mixtape Monday: The Weeknd “Thursday”
Gaining considerable buzz since his his debut EP, Toronto’s The Weeknd dropped his latest project, “Thursday” this past week. The 9 track freebie features the same progessive-soul croonings over deep electronic production that we’ve come to expect from the 21 year-old, along with an extremely well-rapped verse from fellow Toronto native Drake. 09/03/2011: Air Jordan 3 “Stealth Grey”
Breaking up the re-releases of June’s True Blues and the Black/Cements due out later this year, the Jordan 3 Stealth Greys drop for the first time ever on Saturday, September 3rd. Jordan brand subtly accents the Stealth Grey hits with their light graphite colour, as well as using three different suede and leather textures on the shoe’s upper. Air Jordan CMFT 10 “Cool Grey”
Continuing on with its acclaimed Comfort Series, Air Jordan introduces the silhouette of the 10 as the latest addition to the roster. Supra Footwear
Supra hit both shops this week with it’s third drop of the Fall. The charcoal “Wool Suit” pack makes its debut on the Thunder in both a low and high, while black satin is used on the Skytop and Thunder low. The ultra-simple Wrap also showed up with this shipment as a nice late Summer option in black waxed twill. Click for larger images.
