Back in 2002, His Airness returned to the game of basketball for the third time while introducing a new model – the Air Jordan XVII. Jazz music and luxury were the two notable themes behind the Air Jordan XVII. The shoe was constructed to fit the needs of His Airness’ style of game that resembled the improvisation of Jazz music. Luxury was achieved by taking design inspiration from a first-class automobile. Black exotic leather sits at the top of the tongue and wraps around the heel of the shoe. The white upper is complimented by copper hits all throughout the shoe. To finish, the black and white outsole introduces hits of sport royal blue. The shoe makes its triumphant return in its original color way on Saturday, April 9th in Victoria.
