Despite a nice beat tape from The Weeknd’s friend DropxLife that also dropped this week, Chip Tha Ripper earns his second Mixtape Monday crown with Tell Ya Friends. Denim from Canada’s own Naked & Famous is back in full effect at both shops, including their first collaboration with ONI Denim of Japan. Showing up in N&F’s tapered Weird Guy fit, the raw, unsanforized jeans are “super slubby and irregular” allowing for a near-perfect fade. A shop favourite since last year’s For The Glory, Seattle homie Nacho Picasso holds it down once again with Lord of the Fly. Linking up with Blue Sky Black Death for another 13 original tracks, Nacho continues to grow over some of the beast beats in hip-hop today, giving us even more to be proud of in the Pacific Northwest.
